TEAM BUILDING FORMAT
Undercover Agent
Everyone has a mission. Not everyone knows everything.
A quest with roles, clues and a story that unfolds as you go. The format where information is deliberately split — nobody has the full picture, and that is precisely the exercise.

How it runs
- 1Every participant receives a role and a piece of information the others do not have.
- 2Missions are solved only if people share what they know — and there are reasons not to share immediately.
- 3Coordinators along the route hand out new clues and complicate the story.
- 4The ending depends on how well information travelled inside the team.
What it trains
- +How information circulates in a team — who holds it, who passes it on
- +Trust between people who do not work together daily
- +Solving problems with partial data
- +Active listening, because the detail matters
The part others skip
Every challenge ends with a structured conversation: what happened, who did what, what it resembles in your Monday work. Without that conversation, team building is entertainment and is forgotten in two weeks. With it, the team leaves with three written commitments about how it works from now on — and thirty days later we check whether they held.
Which team it makes sense for
Teams where information gets stuck in nodes — a person, a department, a manager. The format makes exactly that visible without accusing anyone.
What to know upfront
- ·Requires preparation: route, clues, coordinators and a story written in advance.
- ·Needs at least two weeks of lead time.
- ·Works best with groups of 20 to 60 people.
